Position Opportunity:  User Support Technician

Position Highlights

As a User Support Technician, you will be the first impression and initial contact with our team members from a technology perspective. When our team members’ computers, monitors, headsets, or phones stop working, you are the one they are going to call to get them back up and running again. Not only will you get to showcase your amazing IT skills, but you get the opportunity to learn new ones. Our call center is fun and fast paced which means this position requires high levels of multi-tasking and organization, as well as the ability to handle confidential information. Our perfect candidate will be reliable, friendly, positive, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and will have a “whatever it takes” attitude.

 

A Day in The Life of a User Support Technician

  • Provides user support by installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting computer-related hardware, operating systems, and application software, including, but not limited to, computers, laptops, smart phones, tablets, printers, scanners, and presentation systems
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace computers, monitors, mice, keyboards, headsets, ethernet patch cords, and desk phones, and all other equipment associated with the day-to-day operations of the call center
  • Works assigned helpdesk tickets in a timely fashion and ensures resolution
  • Maintains an accurate equipment database and inventory
  • Works with existing IT team members to create a productive environment that breeds innovation and best practices
  • Ensures all team members can perform their job duties as needed with the appropriate technology required
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all systems used to support various departments and functions
  • Maintains an accurate documentation system of all systems and procedures used
  • Performs systems administration duties by adding user accounts, resetting user passwords, and configuring security access rights as necessary and appropriate
  • Maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

 

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Willingness to learn new things
  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Windows, Office) and solid typing skills
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to fifty pounds, have sufficient mobility to connect cables which may require climbing ladders or working under desks
  • Must possess visual acuity sufficient for installation and repairs of computers and peripherals
  • A basic understanding of network topologies, file server administration, and computer-related diagnostic techniques is strongly preferred
  • Customer Service experience preferred
